Spinal Twists Sitting on a Chair

Spinal twists using your chair at work is a simple way to help soften your spine and ease stiffness in the back, neck and shoulders. Use your hands to peel the sitting bones backwards when sitting down. This action will help tilt the pelvis slightly forward enabling you to sit more upright through the spine. Check that the lumber spine is upright and lifting; and not in a slouch position. Roll your shoulders back and down and open up your chest. Tuck your chin in slightly. Grow tall on the inhale, twist on the exhale – do this a few times until you reach your best twist. Done with a sense of effortless effort on both sides – enjoy the feeling, ahhhhhhh 🙂
